Driving Modes

Taos Driving Mode Dial

With driving modes, you can adapt various properties of the vehicle systems, such as suspension, steering, and climate controls, to the current driving situation, your desired driving comfort, and for a more economic driving style. The availability of driving modes depends on vehicle equipment.

Available Onroad driving modes may include:

  • Normal - Offers a balanced calibration for everyday use.
  • Eco - Switches the vehicle to more fuel efficient operation compared to other driving modes.
  • Sport - Gives the driver a sporty feel; switches driving gear to S mode.
  •  Custom - You can adapt the individual vehicle systems to your preferences.

Available Offroad driving modes may include:

  • Offroad - Allows better control of acceleration with the accelerator pedal when driving off-road. The engine's braking efficiency is always available, and shifting can be blocked in critical situations. Hill Decent Control is active, and the dynamic cornering light is adapted to better assist when visibility is poor.
  • Snow - Can improve traction on slippery or snowy ground.
  • Offroad Custom - An Offroad driving mode that can be adjusted according to your preferences.

  2. Press the driving mode button on the dial to pull up the driving modes screen in the infotainment system or to cycle through the onroad driving modes, if selected.

See Owner’s Manual for further details and important warnings. Always pay careful attention to the road and do not drive while distracted.
