The ins and outs of lane keep assist
  • How it works

If you’re driving 35 mph or faster, Lane Assist can help keep you from going over the lane lines. If your vehicle begins to drift into another lane without your turn signal on, Lane Assist can warn you and, if necessary, counter-steer to help ensure you stay in your lane. If the counter steering doesn’t prevent the car from going over the line, the steering wheel will also vibrate to help notify the driver.

  • Instructions

    • Use your turn signal when you intend to switch lanes so that Lane Assist does not intervene.
    • You can turn Lane Assist on / off in your digital cockpit or your infotainment screen.
System will engage automatically, as long as:
    • Lane Assist is switched to ACTIVE.
    • You are driving above 35 mph.
    • The system is able to sufficiently detect lane lines.
  • Limitations

    • If you use your turn signal, Lane Assist will not attempt to keep you in your lane.
