This is why every Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) VW is covered by a Model-Specific Limited Warranty. The warranty period begins when the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires or on the purchase date of the CPO Volkswagenvehicle, whichever occurs later.

Model Year 2019 vehicles
1-Year or 12,000-Mile (whichever comes first) Comprehensive Limited Warranty.
1 year or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first) Certified Pre‐Owned Limited Warranty for MY19 CPO gasoline vehicles only. Repairs covered by this limited warranty will be performed at no additional charge after a deductible of $50 per dealer visit. Model Year 2020 and newer vehicles
2-Year or 24,000-Mile (whichever comes first) Comprehensive Limited Warranty.
2 years or 24,000 miles (whichever occurs first) Certified Pre‐Owned Limited Warranty for MY20 and newer CPO gasoline vehicles purchased on or after January 5, 2021 only. Repairs covered by this limited warranty will be performed at no additional charge after a deductible of $50 per dealer visit. 3-Year or 36,000-Mile (whichever comes first) Comprehensive Limited Warranty.

We have good news, and great news. The good news is that, when you buy a Volkswagen through the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program, your vehicle is covered by a manufacturer CPO warranty. And the great news? That peace of mind can now be expanded. Optional Volkswagen Drive Easy CPO Vehicle Service Protection delivers coverage up to 10 years or 150,000 miles. In addition, you’ll also receive roadsideassistance, towing, rental car reimbursement, and trip interruption coverage, if needed.

Your participating dealer will guide you through our three available CPO Vehicle Service Protection plans to help you determine which level best suits your needs:
Powertrain coverage includes your vehicle’s engine, transmission, transaxle or transfer case, drive axles, and certain hybrid and electriccomponents.
Gold coverage encompasses Powertrain coverage, plus front and rear suspension, climate control, fuel, electrical, and certain additional hybrid and electriccomponents.
Platinum coverage includes all mechanical parts of your vehicle in the event of a mechanical breakdown unless they are specifically listed as “not covered” in your Customer Agreement (such as maintenance and cosmetic items).
A $50 deductible per covered repair visit applies.

You’ll receive genuine Volkswagen partsand service for your vehicle
Nationwide service available at any authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized service provider
24-hour roadsideassistancebenefits, including battery service, flat tire assistance, an emergency supply of fuel, water and/or other fluid delivery, and lockout assistance
Towing reimbursement of up to $100 to your nearest Volkswagen dealer or authorized service provider, if required due to a covered mechanical breakdown
Rental car reimbursement of up to $35 per day for up to 10 days if required due to a covered mechanical breakdown
Trip interruption coverage of up to $200 per day for a maximum of five (5) days, if required due to a covered mechanical breakdown
Transferable for a fee if you sell your vehicle to a private party
Cancelable at any time; subject to a fee after 30 days
Coverage exclusions may apply:
Mechanical breakdowns covered by your vehicle’s manufacturer’s warranty
Mechanical breakdowns caused by accident, collision, vandalism, or weather-related conditions
Mechanical breakdowns caused by lack of maintenance or pre-existing conditions
