Vehicle Insights plan included with the purchase of most new Volkswagen vehicles equipped with Car-Net®⁠ hardware. Plan may not be available for certain models and model years, and duration may vary. Visit the shop tab in the myVW mobile app⁠ to see how much time is remaining on your Vehicle Insights plan.

  • Vehicle Health Reports⁠

    Help keep your vehicle in tip-top shape with Vehicle Health Reports. These reports can tell you when your next service is due and whether your vehicle might be due for a check-up at your local Volkswagen dealer.

  • Vehicle Health Status⁠

    Make sure your vehicle is ready for your next commute. Check your charge or fuel levels right from the myVW app.

  • Maintenance Alerts⁠

    With the convenience of maintenance alerts, you can be informed of required maintenance when you’re nearing important mileage intervals. Then simply schedule a service appointment with your local Volkswagen dealer right from the myVW app.

  • Battery status and settings⁠

    As an electric vehicle owner, you can manage your charge settings to help prolong the health of your High Voltage battery. These settings allow you to customize target charge level, manage energy consumption, adjust charging current, and more right from your mobile phone.

  • DriveView™⁠

    DriveView™ calculates cumulative daily, weekly, and monthly driving scores to help you better understand your driving habits.

      When you agree to share driving data with insurance-related companies, we will share your driving data with the following companies:

      Driving Data Shared with Insurance-Related Companies
      When you agree to share driving data with insurance-related companies, we will share the following elements of data:

      Vehicle Identifiers, including:
      Vehicle ID, VIN, IdType, Operation, Timestamp

      Telematics Data, including:
      Location (GNSS Lat, GNSS Log, Altitude, Heading), Acceleration (Lateral and Longitudinal), Temperature & Comfort Setting, Speed, Electronic Stability Program, Odometer, Engine State (on/off, RPM), Horn Status, Vehicle Diagnostics (Vehicle Health Report Data), Remote Start, Door Status, Fluid Level and Battery Status, Wiper Status, Hard Turning (degree to which wheel is turned), Window Status, Brakes, Passenger Count, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Light Status, ABS, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Accident Crash Notification
