The Blind Spot Monitor can be deactivated in the instrument cluster display or in the infotainment system. This feature offers the flexibility to choose when you want to use the Blind Spot Monitor, allowing you to customize your driving experience and focus on the features that matter most to you.

The Active Blind Spot Monitor alerts you when a vehicle is in your blind spot while attempting to change lanes and will counter-steer to help you avoid trouble. This feature is valuable because it provides you with an extra set of eyes on the road, helping you to avoid potential collisions and stay confident behind the wheel.

  • How it works

    Makes you aware when another vehicle is hiding in one of your blind spots. If you attempt to change lanes while a vehicle is in the monitored zones, Active Blind Spot Monitor will alert you and, when possible, counter-steer to help avoid trouble.

  • Instructions

    • When a vehicle enters one of your blind spots, the warning light in the appropriate side mirror will illuminate.
    • If you activate a turn signal and there's a vehicle in your blind spot, one of the warning lights will flash.
    • If you begin to make a lane change with a vehicle in your blind spot, the system will attempt to make a steering correction. If you override that, the steering wheel will vibrate as an warning.
    • System will engage automatically, as long as Active Blind Spot Monitor is switched to ACTIVE.
    • You can turn Active Blind Spot Monitor on / off in your digital cockpit or your infotainment screen.
  • Limitations

    • Only works at speeds of 35 mph or higher.
    • Scan area around the vehicle is limited in distance.
    • May not work in poor weather conditions.
