Driver Assistance Features

IQ.DRIVE technology provides advanced driver assistance to help enhance the safety and convenience of your everyday drive. With hands-on semi-automated capability, IQ.DRIVE offers support for a more confident and comfortable driving experience, helping you stay focused on the road ahead.

You can access the Assistance system settings menu in the Infotainment system, allowing modification to the operation of IQ.DRIVE and other Driver Assistance features.

Control de crucero adaptativo

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) helps drivers maintain a constant speed and distance from the vehicle ahead using sensors to detect other vehicles. The system can reduce speed of the vehicle if there is a slower moving vehicle ahead, bring the vehicle to a standstill, and resume speed regulation as long as the vehicle in front is moving again.

Localiza los botones del control de crucero en el lado izquierdo del volante multifunción.

  • Press the  button.
  • A speedometer icon for cruise control or Adaptive Cruise Control will appear in the instrument cluster display. ACC is the default cruise control system.

Ajuste de la distancia

You can set the speed-dependent distance from the vehicle ahead to one of five levels.

  • To change the ACC distance interval, press the distance button to cycle through the distance intervals until you reach your desired distance level. When the shortest interval is reached, the distance returns to the greatest interval when the button is pressed again.

Para desactivar el control de crucero adaptativo y emplear el control de crucero convencional:

  1. Press or swipe the MODE button on the left side of the steering wheel.
  2. Swipe to the left or right to select Cruise control.
  3. Press the MODE button.

El control de crucero adaptativo ahora está desactivado y su vehículo mantendrá la velocidad establecido usando el control de crucero convencional, hasta el próximo ciclo de encendido.

Establecer y ajustar la velocidad de crucero

  1. When you get to your cruising speed, press the SET button on the multi-function steering wheel.
  2. A green cruise control indicator light or will illuminate in the instrument cluster display.
  3. To increase/decrease the speed by 1 mph increments, press the + or  button.
  4. To increase/decrease the speed by 5 mph increments, press and hold the + or  button.

Cancelar y reanudar la velocidad de crucero

  1. To cancel the cruise speed, press the brake pedal or press the button once on the multi-function steering wheel.
  2. The green CRUISE indicator light or will go off.
  3. To resume your set speed, press the RES button on the multi-function steering wheel.

Apagar el sistema de control de crucero

  • Press  twice.

Sistema de asistencia al viaje

La función Travel Assist es un asistente de conducción semiautomatizado que combina las funciones de control de crucero adaptativo y asistencia de carril para ayudar a su Volkswagen a mantener una distancia segura del vehículo que va delante y a mantener centrado en el carril. El conductor debe mantener la supervisión ya que el sistema Travel Assist no es una función autónoma. Para que el asistente de viaje funcione, se debe habilitar el asistente de carril.

To enable Travel Assist:

  1. Press the  button on the multi-function steering wheel to activate Adaptive Cruise Control.

  2. Press the  button to switch from Adaptive Cruise Control to Travel Assist.

  3. Press the SET button on the steering wheel at the desired speed.

  4. To cancel Travel Assist, press the brake pedal or press the  button on the steering wheel.

  5. To resume Travel Assist, press the RES button on the steering wheel.
