Final Contract Offer Text Now Available

A letter from Lead Negotiator Christena Wilson

Dear Hourly Team Members,

This page provides an important update about our final offer, which we know is important to you, your families, and your future at Volkswagen Chattanooga. Many of you have asked to see the details, and we believe you deserve to see the language for yourself.

Typically, in negotiations, the union shares the full text of any offer with the bargaining unit. However, after nearly three weeks, the UAW has not released the full text of our offer or responded to your repeated requests for a vote.

Because you deserve full transparency, we are sharing the entire final offer and all the previously agreed upon language.

This is the same offer we submitted to the union on September 17. The minor clerical errors the union has referenced were corrected within days, and we’ve listed all corrections up front so you can see exactly what was changed.

Yet on October 8, your UAW bargaining committee co-chair testified before the United States Senate, saying:

“At their own admission, Volkswagen said that the offer is full of clerical errors, and they're not letting people see the entirety of it. So until all that stuff is settled out, how do we bring it back to our workers, when the company itself says it must be approved by their board before they can make sure it’s right?"

I want to be clear: with the immediate corrections made, this offer has been complete, approved by the Company, and ready to vote on for three weeks – even according to your bargaining committee co-chair's own statements.

We will continue to urge the UAW to allow you to vote, so your voice can be heard. In the meantime, you can review the full text of our final offer below.

Thank you to everyone who has attended office hours and asked questions – we’ll continue to host these sessions and remain committed to giving you the information you need.

You can also email questions to us at FinalOffer@vw.com.

Thank you for your dedication and for taking the time to review this important information.

Sincerely,
Christena Wilson
