		Electromechanical power steering with variable assistance and active return The electromechanical steering system is one of the main reasons that Volkswagen cars have earned the reputation for sporty, dynamic steering. Compared to the more conventional hydraulic system, electromechanical steering is better for the environment because it doesn’t produce any waste or require any fluids that need to be replaced.
