Highlights
-
Chrome Grille
It gives the front of your Jetta SportWagen an even more distinctive look. Which goes great with its distinctive German engineering.
Standard In: SE, TDI
-
Dual Exhaust Tips
They're a complement to the rear of your Jetta SportWagen. Or, maybe they're two complements.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Dual Reflector Headlamps
The Jetta SportWagen comes with dual reflector headlamps. More reflectors mean more light is cast out ahead of the vehicle, improving visibility. There's even a little VW logo in there too.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Exterior Signal Mirrors
The side view mirrors have the blinkers built right into them. This helps vehicles to the left or right of you know when you're turning or changing lanes much more easily. And as an added bonus, it's easier to spot when you've left your blinker on.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Laser Seam Welding
The welding technique that is used on the VW Jetta SportWagen. It's seamless and helps create a more rigid body. Which equals less flex. Which equals a safer ride with better handling. Plus. Plus.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Panoramic Sunroof
Measuring almost 54 inches long and 34 inches wide, it blurs the line between sunroof and convertible top.
Optional In: S, SE, TDI
-
60/40 Rear Seat
You can fold down 60, 40, or 100 percent of the back seat flat. Why not 50/50? Because sometimes you need to use a little extra room for cargo without having to ask one of your friends to get out and walk.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Cargo Area
Fold down the back seats and create 66.9 cubic feet of space in the back of your Jetta SportWagen. That's a lot of room to do your thing. Whatever your thing is. We don't like to pry.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Immobilizer III
Part of the theft deterrent system, this will allow the vehicle to start if a key with the appropriate digital coding is inserted into the ignition. If anything without that coding is inserted into the ignition, the immobilizer disables the ignition and your VW cannot be started.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
MDI with iPod® Cable
The MDI (Media Device Interface) with iPod® cable allows the customer to access the device connected to the MDI by hitting the "MEDIA" button in the Premium or Navigation radios and then selecting the "Media-In" button on the touch screen.
Optional In: SE, TDI
-
Multi-Function Indicator (MFI)
The Multi-Function Indicator is a trip computer that not only tells you things like outside temperature, average speed and how far you've traveled, it will even let you know how much farther you can travel based on the amount of fuel in the tank. Perfect for people who mix up their "E" and "F".
Standard In: TDI
-
170 HP Engine
Chances are a 2.5L, 20 Valve DOHC, in-line five-cylinder engine with 177 lbs.-ft of torque is more than you'll ever need. That's why we put it there.
Standard In: S, SE
-
Six-Speed Automatic with Tiptronic and Sport Mode
Either let the transmission shift for you, or simply flick the shifter to the left and take over the gearing. Better yet, why not pull the shifter down to Sport Mode to increase the RPM range and throw more torque to the wheels.
Standard In: SE
Optional In: S
-
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
ABS stands for the Anti-lock Brake System. It's an electronically regulated hydraulic braking system which helps prevent the vehicle from sliding under hard braking by preventing wheel lock-up. ABS, some say it means "Always brake safely."
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
DSG® Transmission
It's a completely automatic transmission when you want it to be. But, it's also an F1 race-inspired transmission that shifts in just 2/10's of a second with the tap of a paddle when its time to have some fun.
Optional In: TDI
-
Independent Suspension
Independent suspension provides handling, control and ride benefits. Since each wheel is able to pivot and be suspended separately from all other wheels, it creates a nice, smooth ride in your VW.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
TDI Engine
30-35 percent more efficient than its gasoline powered competition, Volkswagen’s TDI clean diesel engine generates a solid 140 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 236 lb.-ft. of vigorous torque at only 1,750 rpm. Requiring less fuel and burning as clean (if not cleaner) than regular gasoline, this four-cylinder workhorse packs a powerful punch at very little cost to the universe.
Standard In: TDI
-
Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)
Anti-Slip Regulation helps prevent wheel slippage at all speeds and denies engine power in situations when wheel slip is detected. So, balance and equal traction are never compromised.*
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
*Obey all speed and traffic laws.
-
Crash Optimized Front End
The crash optimized front end has impact-absorbing elements which are integrated into the front structure. These elements allow compression of the front structure during impact. We don't just watch out for our cars, we watch out for each other. It's designed so the energy on impact goes into the car and not you.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Height Adjustable Telescopic Steering Wheel
If it's easier for you to reach everything, it's easier for you to drive more safely. This feature gives you a custom fit, while allowing the airbag* to be placed in the best possible position for you. Literally, and figuratively. Also, the steering column is designed to collapse like a telescope to help reduce impact on impact.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
* Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all crash circumstances. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
-
Pinch Protection on Power Windows
Every VW is equipped with power windows. It's not because we think you're lazy, it's because we think you deserve it. And they all have pinch protection, which helps reduce the risk of injury to a set of unsuspecting fingers when the windows are closing.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
-
Six Airbags
Airbags* are passive safety features that are found in every VW. They're activated in certain types of vehicle collisions when sensors trigger their deployment in just milliseconds. You can also choose to get your VW with two additional airbags for added safety. Safe Happens.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI
*Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all crash circumstances. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
** Model shown is a 2010 Jetta Sedan.
-
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
A sensor built into the valve stem of each tire reads the air pressure, alerting you on your instrument panel when the pressure in one or more of your tires is too low. It only makes sense - properly inflated tires make the vehicle both safer and more fuel-efficient.
Standard In: S, SE, TDI

The people want good clean diesel fun.
Volkswagen Jetta TDI Clean Diesels run on ultra-low sulfur diesel that has 97 percent less sulfur content, radically reducing emissions. Not to mention our high-torque, high-mileage, fuel efficient TDI Clean Diesel engines use a "common rail" direct injection system to decrease up to 95 percent of all sooty emissions. And don’t forget, the "T" in TDI stands for turbocharged.
