Meet VW’s expanding SUV lineup
We can’t pick a favorite, but you can

March 22, 2022

Whether it’s performance, technology, or the passenger and cargo space, we love SUVs. And Volkswagen is determined to give the people what they want. An SUV stacked with all of the above.

That’s why our SUV lineup is built on bold features and designed to meet the needs of everyone from growing families to urban dwellers. With our newest additions to the Volkswagen SUV lineup, including the Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV and Taos, there’s never been a better time to get behind the wheel of a Volkswagen SUV.

ID.4: The all‑electric SUV

The ID.4 is an electric SUV that’s truly changing the game, and can be reserved online. On the outside, clean aerodynamic lines make for a striking presence on the road. On the inside, modern design and as much passenger volume as the 5-seater Tiguan give you the style and space you crave. With heart-pumping instant torque, the ID.4 delivers performance that will transform how you think about electric cars. In addition to rear-wheel drive, available all-wheel drive means a second electric motor at the front wheels—delivering you quick acceleration and power distribution to where you want it most. Finally, the ID.4 can take drivers where they need to go with an EPA-estimated 275 miles of range on a single charge, for the 2022 Pro model. For the average driver, that means you can drive for multiple days before recharging. Once you feel the electricity in the all-new ID.4 electric SUV, there’s no going back.

Atlas Cross Sport: The bold, eye-catching SUV

The Atlas Cross Sport is a sleek, sporty addition to our SUV roster. Assembled in Chattanooga and packed with thoughtful touches throughout, the Atlas Cross Sport shares the same powerful lines as its larger sibling—the Atlas—but with a head-turning streamlined design and raked roofline. Instead of 3rd-row seating, we’ve carved out 77.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded flat and more than three feet of rear legroom (it’s like getting a surprise upgrade to first class in your own car). Available wireless smartphone charger, Wireless App Connect, high-resolution 10-inch VW Digital Cockpit, and a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 235 hp (achieved with premium fuel) and 258 lb-ft of torque—or available 3.6L V6 engine with 276 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, means tech meets strength in this versatile dynamo.

Atlas: The spacious, family-oriented SUV

Wherever the destination, your family can travel in comfort with the spacious Atlas. Its designer LED headlights and redesigned front end give it a striking look. With plenty of room to spread out and an available panoramic sunroof that spans nearly all three rows of seating, it offers up a new and maybe unexpected way to carve out some family time. Atlas boasts up to five available USB ports, easy 3rd-row access, 17 cup holders (go ahead, try to fill them up), and a 2nd row with room for three child safety seats (or optional captain’s chairs), so that everyone is happy. Plus, with 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, and driver-assistance features like available Travel Assist and Emergency Assist, the driving experience is truly enhanced.

Tiguan: The substantial, compact SUV (with available 3rd-row seating)

Form meets turbocharged function with our Tiguan. The dynamic SUV features 3rd-row seating with sliding 2nd row and impressive cargo space. But don’t underestimate the Tiguan—it’s much more than just comfortable. Every trim shares the same impressive, sporty looks and powerful performance as all of our models, including our style leader, the R-Line. Standard driver-assistance features include Front Assist with Pedestrian Monitoring, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert. Add high-tech features, such as the Volkswagen Car-Net® and the available VW Digital Cockpit, and you’ve got all of the information you need at the touch of a button. Customize your drive with available all-wheel drive to help adapt as the weather changes. The Tiguan is built for adventure and your everyday commute (or when you want to turn your everyday commute into an adventure).

Taos: The newest member of the SUV family

The Volkswagen Taos is a compact SUV that’s smart, versatile, and ready for the road. With its bold styling and striking features, it’s practical and efficient without any extra bulk. The available 4MOTION® all-wheel drive and 1.5L TSI turbocharged engine creates a daily-driver that’s anything but everyday. Plus, the Taos is packed with useful tech like available remote start for chilly mornings, an available wireless smartphone charger so you never run out of juice, and VW Digital Cockpit that comes standard to keep you right on track.
