Set your preferred temperature
You can regulate the temperature with the push of a single button—the AUTO button
(1). Consider the AUTO button as a trusted friend. When you push it, it responds with a glowing light.Then, turn the temperature dial closest to you (2) to set your preferred temperature. Even the front passenger can regulate his or her own temperature. The LED display above the dial you are turning will read out the temperature as you move the dial. [NOTE: Since this often happens while people are driving, it is really better for them to watch the road.]

Keep cool
Set the temperature somewhere between 65 and 68 degrees. The recirculation and A/C activate automatically. Your interior will cool in minutes.
Turn up the heat
Set the temperature dial (2) somewhere between 75 and 80 degrees. Your interior will warm up in minutes.Let the Climatronic system do the rest.
Sometimes, you have to go to extremes
On days when the temperatures are extreme, you can cool or heat the interior very quickly.To quickly cool the interior, rotate the temperature dial (2) all the way to the left so the screen displays "LO." You will feel the ice–cold cooling power.
To quickly heat the interior, rotate the temperature dial (2) all the way to the right so the screen displays "HI." You will feel the heating power.
This function, again, should only be used in cases of extreme temperatures—you'll know when that is.
Defrost the windshield
We can blow-dry your windows in seconds and get you going with a clear view. Press the defrost button (3) that is located between the temperature dials.
The A/C function comes on automatically to dry the air. Watch the windshield clear. Trust the system! When the windshield is clear, press the AUTO button again.

When you push the DUAL button and the light turns on, the Climatronic system allows the driver and passenger to set individual temperatures. When you push the DUAL button again and the light turns off, the Climatronic system synchronizes the temperatures of the driver and passenger so that the driver then controls the adjustment of both temperatures.

When the fan is operating at its highest speed, it can be loud—but that's because it's powerfully blowing more air at the selected temperature into the interior. When the selected temperature is reached, in a very short time, the fan will dial down on its own. Trust the system!

Please Remember:
- Poor visibility increases the risk of collisions and other accidents that cause serious personal injuries.
- Always make sure all windows are clear of ice, snow and condensation for good visibility through the windshield, side and rear windows.
- Maximum heating output and fast defrosting will only be possible after the engine has reached operating temperature. Wait until you have good visibility before driving off.
- Always make sure you know how to properly use the heating and ventilation systems as well as the rear window defogger that you will need for good visibility.
- Never use air recirculation for long periods of time. When the air conditioner is off and recirculation mode is on, condensation can quickly form on the windows and greatly reduce visibility.
- Always switch off recirculation mode when it is not needed.
- Stale air causes driver fatigue and reduces driver alertness, which can cause accidents, collisions and serious personal injuries.
- Never use air recirculation for long periods of time because no fresh air will come into the passenger compartment.
