Compared with the more conventional hydraulic system, electromechanical steering is much more consistent and eco-conscious because it doesn’t produce any waste or require any fluids that need to be replaced. It also helps reduce fuel consumption by drawing energy from the engine only during turning.¹ Sometimes the details make all the difference.
