Bi-Xenon Headlamps
A VW headlight system which shines brighter than halogen or normal filament bulbs. The light beam in a Bi-Xenon headlight is created by an arc of electricity inside the light bulb filled with xenon gas. And, both the low and high beams use the same bulb. The figurative “ good idea” light bulb. The Adaptive Front Lighting System comes standard with your CC ’s Bi-Xenon headlights and actually turns the headlight up to 15 degrees in the direction you’re headed while cruising at freeway speeds.

Diversity Antenna
An antenna system which has two physical antennae. Whichever antenna has the stronger signal for any given channel is used as the receiver, making sure you get the best reception possible. This antenna is built into the VW ’s windshield or trunk.

Exterior Signal Mirrors
The side view mirrors have the blinkers built right into them. This helps vehicles to the left or right of you know when you’re turning or changing lanes much more easily. And as an added bonus, it’s easier to spot when you’ve left your blinker on.

Rain-Sensing Wipers
With rain-sensing wipers, you don’t have to worry about controlling the speed of the wipers in the rain, they’ll take care of it for you. A small sensor in the windshield detects how much water is obstructing your vision. And, since Mother Nature can change her mind quickly, these wipers adjust their speed automatically.

Dual Zone Climate Control
VW’s climate control system that automatically controls the cabin temperature. Once the user sets the desired temperature, Climatronic® takes over to maintain that temperature, regardless of fluctuations in the outside air temperature. Climatronic® also allows the driver and passenger to set their own desired temperature, creating two custom climates. Hey, “shotgun” deserves some control too.

Engine Braking Assist (EBA)
Sometimes when you downshift too hard, the reduced gear ratio and engine compression can cause skidding. Not with the intelligence of VW at the wheel. Using the wheel speed sensors, the system monitors the drive wheels for slippage and modulates engine braking torque to prevent skidding.

Six Airbags
Airbags* are passive safety features that are found in every VW. They’re activated in certain types of vehicle collisions when sensors trigger their deployment in just milliseconds. You can also choose to get your VW with two additional airbags for added safety.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
A sensor built into the valve stem of each tire reads the air pressure, alerting you on your instrument panel when the pressure in one or more of your tires are too low. It only makes sense - properly inflated tires make the vehicle both safer and more fuel-efficient.
